What NoteCam Does
NoteCam is a camera application that embeds contextual details into photos. It captures location coordinates, timestamp, and user-written remarks so each image carries searchable background information for later review.
Core Capabilities
- Custom text notes can be attached directly to images for quick reference.
- Timestamps are recorded with each capture so you can track when a photo was taken.
- Location metadata is embedded, including accuracy, altitude, longitude, and latitude.
How to Enable Angle Data on iOS
To view angular measurements from within the app on an iPhone or iPad:
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Choose Purchase & Upgrade (or similar upgrade options).
- Select NoteCam and enable the AngleCam feature.
Once enabled, AngleCam supplies angle-related readouts along with your photos.
Alternative: Streisand Free AngleCam
If you want a more scientifically oriented capture mode, consider Streisand Free AngleCam (available through NoteCam). It adds detailed orientation metrics to images.
- Offset and tilt readings are included to help document camera orientation.
- Pitch measurements are recorded to show the camera’s vertical angle.
- Azimuth values are provided for directional heading information.
- GPS coordinates are still integrated so location and orientation are stored together.
Why Use These Features
Embedding notes, precise location, and angle data into images makes them more useful for mapping, inspection, fieldwork, or any situation where context matters. Combining all metadata within the photo file keeps records compact and easier to share.
