Quick overview
gDMSS Plus is a free mobile utility published by Zhejiang DAHUA Technology Co., Ltd. It’s designed to let you monitor your residential security devices remotely, view live camera feeds, and manage connected alarm components. The app includes tools for account protection such as password creation and modification, and provides guidance for new users.
Operational modes
- Alarm: Connect an alarm hub to the app to integrate sensors and alerts. Make sure the alarm system is initialized before adding it to your device list.
- Camera: Watch live camera streams and access a demo preview if you want to try the app without configuring devices. This mode supports multiple simultaneous previews (up to four).
- Door: Manage door-related devices and see a single live video feed at a time; it does not offer the demo option.
Watching live and recorded footage
To see live video from your cameras, open the Camera mode — you can get immediate previews from your connected cameras. To review earlier recordings, tap the Device List icon in the top-right corner to open the calendar interface and select footage from previous days or months.
Note: Camera mode allows viewing multiple feeds at once, whereas Door mode displays only one live stream.
Adding and managing devices
Both Camera and Door sections let you add new devices or inspect the ones already paired with the app. When integrating alarm hubs, initialize the hardware first so the app can recognize and list it properly.
Help, setup, and troubleshooting
gDMSS Plus includes a Help area with detailed instructions for first-time setup, password management, and general usage. The Help section also contains an FAQ that walks you through fixes for common technical problems and tips to get the most from the app.
Summary
gDMSS Plus is a convenient tool for remote monitoring and basic management of home security gear, providing live video access and device integration from anywhere. Its main limitation is that the demo preview is only available in the Camera mode; Door and Alarm functions require actual devices to be added and initialized.
