App essentials

DMSS (short for Digital Mobile Surveillance System) is a free mobile app from Hangzhou CE‑soft Technology Co., Ltd. It provides remote monitoring, recorded video playback, push alerts, and other surveillance functions. The app works with a variety of devices — for example, cameras, alarm sensors, and smart doorbells — and connects over 3G, 4G, or Wi‑Fi. First-time setup

When you open the app for the first time, it will request permission to save images and video to your device so recordings and snapshots can be stored locally. You will also be asked to choose your country or region from a long list. If you previously used gDMSS Plus, a short tutorial may appear to help with the transition. The app generally records video and saves photos reliably. However, users often experience problems with push notifications: motion alerts may fail to appear, or a notification will show but tapping it does not load a live feed from the camera.
