Live plane tracker — free and easy to use
Turn your phone or tablet into a live aircraft tracker and watch planes from around the world move across detailed maps in real time. Point your device toward the sky to identify an airplane’s type and heading, or simply browse the map to follow flights as they travel.
What the app shows you
- Interactive 3D “pilot’s-eye” view of a selected flight
- Ability to find flights by airline, airport, or flight number
- Real-time movement of aircraft displayed on high-detail maps
- Comprehensive flight data such as route, estimated arrival, and departure times
- Status indicators including grounded, delays, and local weather conditions
- Live speed and altitude readouts for tracked aircraft
How the tracking works
Most modern aircraft broadcast positional information using ADS-B transponders. This application receives those signals via a global network of more than 17,000 ground receivers and combines them with multilateration and other live feeds to produce accurate, moving aircraft icons on the map.
How to use it
Point your device at the sky and the app will capture nearby transmissions. Once a plane is identified, your screen will display its flight details (ETA, route, departure time), current speed and altitude, and optional 3D views. You can also search manually by carrier, airport, or flight number to follow specific journeys.
