Play classic Flash titles on your PC
Flash played a huge role in early web games and animations, but security problems led to its decline and left many works inaccessible. BlueMaxima’s Flashpoint Infinity is a preservation tool that lets you download and run thousands of those Flash-era creations so you can revisit them on a modern computer.
Overview of Flashpoint Infinity
Flashpoint Infinity is a lightweight launcher and archive manager for legacy web content. It catalogs and fetches Flash games and animations, launching each item in its own window so you can play or view it just like you did back then. The app focuses on making the experience simple and faithful while respecting the original creators.
How to open and play items
- Start the Flashpoint Infinity application.
- Use the top tabs to switch between Games and Animations.
- If you pick Games, open the category dropdown to browse by genre or theme.
- Use the search field to jump directly to a title.
- Double-click a listing to download it; when finished, a new window will launch the selected item.
- After downloading, the file is stored locally so you can run it again later without an internet connection.
Example genres available
- Shooter and action games
- Role-playing adventures
- Strategy and tactics titles
- Puzzle, platformer, and other assorted genres
Information shown for each entry
When you view a listing, Flashpoint Infinity displays metadata so you can see who made the work, where it originally appeared online, and the release date. If a specific title isn’t already in the archive, you can submit or add it from the Home tab so it can be preserved.
Preservation and scope
Flashpoint Infinity helps safeguard a massive portion of Flash history — tens of thousands of games and thousands of animations — making that creative output accessible again. Its straightforward download-and-play workflow makes it suitable for casual users and collectors alike. The project not only conserves internet culture but also provides easy access to a wide variety of memorable indie and browser titles.
Other edition notes
If you prefer a smaller footprint with on-demand downloads, Infinity is the lighter option. There’s also a fuller local archive available (often called the Ultimate edition) that includes most content pre-downloaded for offline use, at the cost of much larger storage requirements. Choose the edition that best fits your needs and available disk space.
