The collapse of the city
Tarkov’s civil order has broken down, forcing much of the population to flee. Those who stayed behind either band together into heavily armed groups or try to carve out a living on their own. Though there are no formal borders, neighborhoods are effectively divided by which factions control them, and moving between zones means navigating hostile lines of influence.
Your role in the chaos
You assume the role of a mercenary who made it through the early turmoil. Your objectives range from scavenging valuable gear and completing missions to forming temporary alliances or betraying others to improve your standing. Survival depends on careful planning, combat skill, and knowing when to press an advantage or fall back.
