Overview

Webmasters often need to know when pages on their sites change. Changes Meter helps by letting you add multiple URLs to a watchlist and continuously check them for updates.

How it operates

• The app lives in the macOS menu bar for one-click access.
• You can view details for each monitored address, such as file size and last modification date.
• Add sites to a central URL list to have them checked automatically.
• Control how often checks run and how sensitive the detector is to differences.
• Alerts can be delivered with a short sound or by flashing the menu-bar icon.

Interface notes

Changes Meter tucks neatly into the menu bar and is quick to access. However, the drop-down can feel crowded because several menu entries point to product information — for example, links to the developer’s site and the program homepage occupy a noticeable portion of the menu.

Recent bug fix

A stability issue that could cause the app to crash when an invalid URL was entered has been resolved.
