Canteen Connect — peer support for young people affected by cancer
Canteen Connect is a no-cost social app created by Canteen (The Australian organisation for young people living with cancer). It’s built to bring together young people who are navigating cancer themselves or supporting a close family member through it, providing a place to meet others who understand what that experience feels like.
Ways the app supports you
- Online counselling: Speak with trained counsellors through chat sessions available every day of the week for extra emotional support when you need it.
- Events and activities: Join regular online gatherings and activities designed to lift your mood and help you meet others in a relaxed, positive setting.
- Topic threads and groups: Take part in conversations that range from cancer-related concerns to entertainment and hobbies like movies, music, and gaming.
- Match with peers: Use a “People like me” matching tool to find others whose experiences are similar and start connecting with people who really get it.
