Okay. I've installed the program and assumed that I needed to sign up for a trial on Schedules Direct, which I did.
When I try to get the information by selecting Update, I receive an error message that states:
Failed to update XMLTV file (using tv_grab_na_dd --days 5 --offset 0 --output "/tmp/gtvg-xmltv-FNBWVU")
When I select Close, I get another stating:
Failed to load XMLTV...

I seemed to have missed something again. I thought I understood that there was a way to block updates from happening from certain repository categories, such as "Testing", but I can't figure it out.
I opened the settings dialog and selected Pacman, then put the word "testing" in the "IgnoreGroups:" line. After restarting Shaman, I still got something trying to...

Yes, that fixed it. Thanks very much. I couldn't think where the parts of the interface went, but I sure missed them when they weren't there!
What I had to do was to right-click on the menu- or button-bars. Nowhere else seemed to work. However, I believe that the border issue cleared right up. So, while that might be viewed as odd behavior, at least it worked. And that is the bottom...

I messed it up and don't know what to do. The main window had a pane on the left side that had groups and what-have-you. Sadly, I closed it somehow, and there's no getting it back.
Worse, I've got the program doing weird things with fitting the screen horizontally. Even maximized, the right edge is off the screen and I can't get back to the vertical scroll bar. Very strange.
This has...

Thank you for attempting to offer the info. I tried what you suggested, and got back this error message: “Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:1000.” (I hope I got the format correct.)
Here's what the new visitor does:
Go to http://www.webmin.com/. Nothing there. Select http://www.webmin.com/intro.html (Introduction to Webmin). Nothing there. Select...

As a newbie, I'm having a heck of a time trying to find how to start the program. Has anyone been able to locate that information?
Thanks all.

Thanks for the response. Sorry I've been unable to get back to this sooner.
Perhaps I was not being clear. What I meant about the current operational setup was that, while one might not have to do anything with the settings, how would one know? That lack of direction in and of itself shows that the process is not intuitive and therefore is prone to error.
Options are fine, but they beg to...

This whole process should be made more intuitive. Basically, we are talking about simple, standard database usage, and for this process to be fraught with problems makes the use of some sort of admin GUI not as usable as it should be.
Image the situation as I experienced. With decades of usage experience, I was totally a newbie in how to properly handle the export of my web site cms...

The section entitled "Hardware" doesn't have anything in it. The heading says "Hardware - Configure your Hardware", but it is completely blank below it.
I am using ArchLinux, the latest version. dbus, hal and fam are all loaded, if that makes any difference.
Thanks for your help.
