Hmm I too would like to get this module to work! Thanks for your directions Vit R but I appplied the method you gave and I got:
FATAL: Error inserting wacom (/lib/modules/2.6.28.7-smp/kernel/drivers/input/wacom.ko): Invalid module format.
I'm running Slackware with kernel 2.6.28.7. The module was working great with kernel 2.6.27.7 (Slackware 12.2). Any clue?.

Yes, with the Microsoft's Fdisk program (or another). If you have a CD or a floppy which came with a windows system, just type this famous un-documented command :
fdisk /mbr
or you can always overwrite the MBR with another boot manager like LiLO, Grub, etc.
