The following output will appear: root@BananaPi ~ # find /usr/share/locale -type f | grep de | grep minidlna /usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/minidlna.mo Is that right? I notice that when running in debug mode, this is running as user root. By default the call occurs in the Debian Jessie however as user minidlna.

The debian backports - version brings the following output: root@BananaPi ~ # minidlnad -d -v -R -f /etc/minidlna.conf | grep locale [2017/05/02 10:21:50] minidlna.c:472: debug: Using locale dir '/usr/share/locale' and locale langauge de_DE.UTF-8/de_DE.UTF-8 I use the backports - version, because I don't know how I'm doing a rebuild. My Linux skills are unfortunately limited.

In debian its running as user minidlna and the system's locale entries in the file /etc/default/locale is LANG=de_DE.UTF-8. Now I have used debian backports and the version is: Package: minidlna Versions: 1.1.6+dfsg-1~bpo8+1 (/var/lib/apt/lists/ftp.debian.org_debian_dists_jessie-backports_main_binary-armhf_Packages) (/var/lib/dpkg/status) But all categories are still in English.

On a BananaPi R1, its language or current locale is set to de_DE.UTF-8. A Panasonic TV visible three categories music, pictures and videos in German as Musik, Bilder and Filme. This worked immediately after the installation and commissioning of miniDLNA, but after a minidlna -R are visible to force a full rescan of the media files, only the headings in English. Why? How do I get everything in German again?
