Folks, This is great stuff and thanks for chasing it down for VStar. There was a PASP paper - not too many years/decades in the past - that showed that one can't trust most image header times to better than one minute. We are probably getting better as "time" goes by but it is a complex combination of NTP synchronization and exactly what the FITS keywords in image headers actually mean.
