What security update are you referring to? FlickrBackup still works for me. Is it really all photos or only new photos? Another user reported this recently and I think it is only new photos that it is happening to. I'll test it tonight.

I uploaded 2 photos tonight and tried to download them and sure enough, I got the dreaded "This photo is currently unavailable" photos instead. I'll try to figure out what is going on this weekend. Sorry Everyone! You can thank Flickr again...

On March 1st Flickr changed the way they name their images. Previously it was only a matter of changing _m.jpg to _o.jpg to get the original image, or swapping in “_s.jpg” to get a small thumbnail. Now the numbers in the filename change as well.

I have pulled the newest version of flickrj into the baseline and I had to make a few changes, but it all seems to be working now! I'm working out some kinks in the build process and I actually think I'm going to take the time to change FlickrBackup to be launched via Java WebStart only. That way, any time something like this happens again, I'll be able to put the fix out there and next time anyone launches it, they will get the newest version. So it might be a little while before you get the fix unless I figure out why the windows version (exe) isn't working right now.

Ok, there is a new release. v1.0.2 fixes this problem. (I'm still building the Mac bundle if you are really fast...). The next version of FlickrBackup will be webstart only.
