This patch adds support for a CMS called SPIP
(www.spip.net), which is fairly popular in
Europe/France. This is not the place to advertise for
spip, check our their web site for details!
This extends gallery to add support for SPIP in the
same way as other CMSes, by defining new User.php and
UserDB.php classes, and by adding a bit of extra
detection code in index.php and init.php.
Please note that I had to change the name of two
variables in gallery (namely "$page", replaced to
"$gallery_page" and "$meta", replaced by
"$gallery_meta") in order to resolve a variable name
conflict between SPIP and Gallery. This should have no
impact.
Last, I added a "spip" directory in the "contrib"
directory, with a short example on how to include
gallery into SPIP.
It all seems to be working pretty well, I need more
people to test it, both in standard installs, to see if
this breaks anything, and embedded into SPIP.

I found one small glitch, line 112 in view_album.php,
> '$navigator[pageVar]="page"' should read
> '$navigator[pageVar]="gallery_page"'.
This prevented from going to the next/previous page in
the initial patch.
