Make sure when you installed your card the
file "GLIDE2X.DLL" is up to date. Also, my workaround was
to delete the old "opengl32.dll" from the Quake directory
and replace it with the "opengl32.dll" from your windows'
system directory. Do not move the file from the system
directory, but copy the file to your quake directory.
I have a Voodoo3 PCI with 16MB SGRAM but it seems to have
no problems.. Either your GLIDE2X.DLL file is corrupt or
out of date. Go to your card manufacturer's web site and
see if there is an update for the drivers. If there is,
download and install the updates.
