I'm using Jaunty, kernel 2.6.30. When I apply transition of effects in multi-mode, they show up on the preview but these effects don't get applied to the actual video. I'm using 1.0.3 and I compile. In CLip editor mode, the effects get applied to the video and they show up in the preview.

Turns out the problem was specific to the 1.0.x branch. Fixed in subversion.
