Zettelkasten 3 turned out to be an excellent tool to manage a large number of notes of a subject. The pieces can be tagged and interlinked by cross references arbitrarily. The application makes it easy to get a general idea of the subject matter. Using the extended search capabilities lets you find things quickly. In addition Zettelkasten can manage attachment files and images. In summary it is fun to use this marvelous application. I personally use Zettelkasten to manage every aspect of learning an instrument - excercises, audio material, notes of music lessons, web resources...
