The Zero Compiler is a hybrid of many computer languages incorporated into one. Push of the project is to move away from the over bloated size of .NET & other traditional compilers. Zero pushes to provide minimalism, speed & efficiency!

This project has went through 3 phases already, it was originally written in VB6 then was stripped down and converted to MS C++. Currently I am making changes to work with GNU GCC in the MinGW project (v3.x). When a future (stable) release is ready for public view and testing, it will be posted here on SourceForge.net as well as Google Code: http://code.google.com/p/zero/ The first release alpha release will only feature a stripped own version of the zASM (Zero Assembler) compiler. Of course the zASM will be the launch point for the entire project, it will feature a raw Intel based Assembler and then pushing forward towards the custom language coding style. It is still uncertain (yet likely) that it will retain a raw ASM code input for compatibility with other Assemblers, this way the coder does not have to worry about converting lines and lines of code every time they switch compilers for testing. Remember: The Zero compiler project is intended to bring coding back down to "Ground Zero" where the engineer can focus on Speed, Minimalism and Efficiency. It's future target is to keep these concepts in mind as well to offer easier coding practices like C# and VB like comfort with a flick of a switch.
