Has any progress been made on this? I would really appreciate it to know. I set up xrdp 0.4.1 on an ubuntu 8.10 box with the latest version of x11rdp and am trying to connect from a win xp sp3 machine.
I can actually connect and my X window desktop comes up fine with the window manager and all. However, the session always ends up having problems - windows do not get drawn correctly when resizing them or sometimes just moving them around. The screen ends up in a useless state wherein garbage shows up on the screen. Eventually - most of the time - it crashes with the error, "Because of a protocol error, this session will be disconnected. Please try connecting to the remote computer again."
Does anyone have any information you can point me to so that I can get some help on this?
Or is this a bug still in the works to operate with RDP v6? Thanks!

I installed SP3 over the weekend and now I get a message
about a protocol error when I try to connect to Linux
boxes running xrdp.
Has anyone else seen this?
I have the same problem....
This is because SP3 installed Remote Desktop V6 which uses the RDP version 6 protocol. If you are using Vista then the same problem exists.
Hopefully this will be resolved in a future release?
This should be fixed in v0.4.1
Did it?
