  • my xchm patches

Dear all, I am trying build my own xchm win32 binary and fix some bugs for it. Here is my attempt as patchset: http://bitbucket.org/kcwu/xchm-patch/src/ It is based on xchm 1.17, wx 2.90, chmlib 0.40. These patch files, some are wx fixes, some are xchm fixes, and some are just for me. * Files named 0* and 1* are basic steps to build xchm using VC++2008 express. It is...

  • Add support for non correct image link in chm files

Xchm doesn't display Images in many books. I see source code of these books and found such strings src="pic%5Cpic368.jpg" or src="pic\pic368.jpg" I changed all "%5C" and "\" to "/" and all things become fine. So my request is to add (optional) possibility to read such books.

  • Followup: RE: Is big5 or gb encoding supported?

In theory it's already supported, but I couldn't test it because I can't read Chinese :). Can you post a link to your CHM file? I can try to see what's going on and see if I can fix it, but I can't really answer your question without a proper test case.

  • Is big5 or gb encoding supported?

I tried to open some chm file with gb encoding. It seems that xCHM does not support such encoding. WIll this feature be added in the future?.

  • Comment: can not display unicode U+0092

Please add more information. What CHM file were you using? How do I reproduce this problem? Are you sure that a newish browser such as the latest version of Mozilla Firefox or IE would display your HTML the way you'd like?.

  • Comment: Open Link in Browser

I agree, it would be nice. Unfortunately at the time I tried to implement this feature (many years ago) there was no way to do it in a really cross-platform manner. Maybe times have changed, it's probably a worthwhile feature to have.
