Xchm doesn't display Images in many books. I see source code of these books and found such strings
src="pic%5Cpic368.jpg"
or
src="pic\pic368.jpg"
I changed all "%5C" and "\" to "/" and all things become fine.
So my request is to add (optional) possibility to read such books.

In theory it's already supported, but I couldn't test it because I can't read Chinese :).
Can you post a link to your CHM file?
I can try to see what's going on and see if I can fix it, but I can't really answer your question without a proper test case.

I tried to open some chm file with gb encoding. It seems that xCHM does not support such encoding. WIll this feature be added in the future?.

Please add more information. What CHM file were you using? How do I reproduce this problem? Are you sure that a newish browser such as the latest version of Mozilla Firefox or IE would display your HTML the way you'd like?.

I agree, it would be nice. Unfortunately at the time I tried to implement this feature (many years ago) there was no way to do it in a really cross-platform manner. Maybe times have changed, it's probably a worthwhile feature to have.

Well spoted, but that's already been done. The problem is that the latest version of the xCHM Mac binary is not the latest version of the source code release. xCHM 1.17 fixed this problem already.

What's your setup? Do you use the Mac version of xCHM, Linux, which one?
At least the wxGTK version, and IIRC the wxMSW (the Windows binary) offer the posibility of dragging the toolbar away and just putting it somewhere on the screen where it's not in the way.
Do you feel that you need more than that basic solution?.
