SourceForge being what it is, it's a pain in the butt to try to get their cvs utility to create snapshots, and I've been fussing with this thing for almost an hour just to change the 'home page' of the project.
Effective April 7 2006, the new details about the project are as follows:
New Home Page:

New Bug Tracker:

The latest information, bug tracking, feature requests, and such, about w98podfetch can now be found at http://iandouglas.com/page.php?2 or by bookmarking http://w98podfetch.sf.net/
The new site includes easier forums, mantis bug tracking, feature requests, and easier downloads, not to mention contact information to get in touch with me.

This is the next thing I'll be working on once I finish
up the 'w98podfetch online' web site.

I'd love-love-love a command line option to download
just a single podcast feed based on the shortened name
given in the 'feedname' of a podcast subscription. (the
feedname could be printed out with the --checkconfig
option)
Sometimes I want a quick run of the script just to
download a single podcast from my configuration.
Or, with an --exclude option, maybe check all podcasts...

I'd love to have a command line option to just look at
the configuration file (found in the default spots or
downloaded from the 'online' service) and determine its
validity and maybe print out a report of what's in the
file, like listing the podcasts inside.

iTunes has a feature when adding a podcast to say "get
only the newest file" or "get all files", etc. I'd love
to expand on that with the "download order" and
"download limit" by adding a "skip" feature:
"skip the rest of the feed as soon as you see a file
we've already fetched"
- this would essentially be a "download only the newer
files" as we'd have already logged the other files...

I'd love to have better logging control for people, or
maybe a logging verbosity level. As a minimum, simply
log the URLs that were downloaded. At higher levels,
log a timestamp of the activity, log when each file was
downloaded, file size, that sort of thing.

I'd love to build in a base configuration option for
stopping the application from running once a sum total
of files or bytes have been downloaded. For example,
maybe I want to stop the application as soon as 100MB
worth of podcasts have been fetched. If I have 25
subscriptions and the first two fill up that 100MB
limit, all other data feeds would be ignored. A
"whichever comes first"...
