REPRO:
1. Use 2 screens.
2. Configure hidden icons
3. Unplug one monitor
What is wrong?
Windows Vista (and above) has nice feature allowing you to have different icon layout depending on your screens settings. When you unplug second monitor, windows show your hidden icons. Of course VirtuaWin does nothing with this :-(.

I agree this feature would be welcome. As a fix, I added a confition that the Ctrl key be held down in order to change desktops. That way I never accidentally switch desktops...if I want to move a window over, hold down Ctrl and voila!

Hi, all. Just a perception from my side: I tried to define a window rule but was not successful. I set the outcmd.dat to read-only and this might have lowered the switching delay. But it remains still perceivable and irritating enough.
I will be open for testing and/or delivering log files :-)

It would be really nice if this module was compatible with native windows align to grid function.
Inventing the align to grid feature again isn't very smart move. Its very buggy and not intuitive (especially on Win Vista and above, where align to grid really work great).
This feature should work live (not on desktop change) and the grid should always be calculated right (now it isn't when...

Thanks for your comments.. FYI, again verified with Thinkorswim, and they support only admin launches, something to do with java webstart. They are pretty savvy otherwise, so am surprised at this outcome. Best..

By the way, I finally got to use Windows 7 and basically this feature request would be something like the search bar on the new Start Menu in Windows 7.

Hi,
Im using this app with the KvasdoPager plugin. I have nothing bad to say about either, but my problem is with KvasdoPager in this regard:
As previously noted: https://sourceforge.net/projects/virtuawin/forums/forum/257054/topic/3418021
It is best to have this on the left side of the taskbar. However as noted in the post above, I do not find that the KvasdoPager "bounces around"...

The page he suggested seems to be to configure VW to remember a specific desktop. But that sounds different from you're saying. Your...

I believe outcmd.dat stores your toolbar customizations. What about moving this file out of the way and then redo each of your customizations and test each one until either you have all your customizations back in (so this was caused by Outlook getting into a funny state) or you find the culprit (then you can decide whether that one customization is essential and we can better understand the...

Implementing this would require a change in design to VW as VW does not current save anything at exit this is very unlikely to change. However, as Jopi suggested, you could exploit the startup desktop option by creating a small module which simply did nothing but store the current desktop until VW exits at which point it modifies this option in virtuawin.cfg file to the current desktop.
