  • i want chinese, please~ this app is very good, thank you!
  • I started using this application back in 2012 or 2013. I just updated it today after having not updated since I first downloaded it... AND WOW! It has grown! I use this app to track timelines in the fictional stories I'm writing and the ability to overlap timelines from other stories I'm writing in my universe is the SOLE reason I've been carting the old install from drive to drive for years. The updated app opened my almost decade old timeline without issues. Everything is there. I could cry with joy because I spent so much time on this and I'd be devastated without it. There are so many (new to me!) options that I feel like I have a lot I can change about my timeline. THANK YOU
  • Thank you.
  • I've been looking for a simple timeline software which is *not* web based and has *no* ridiculous limitations where if you want to enter more than 3 dates you have to pay an arm and a leg and sacrifice your firstborn. This is an excellent program. Important: Edit > Preferences > General > Open most recent timeline on startup - make sure to UNCHECK this box. (If it is checked, and you happen to delete, rename, or relocate your most recent file, next time you open the program you'll get a fatal error - took me a while to figure out) If a period event is very short, it will be shown as a point event. Don't panic, if you zoom in it will go back to being shown as a period event. (If you choose Edit > Preferences > General > Never show period events as point events, very short period events won't be shown at all unless you zoom in which is worse IMO.) Good to know: you can't put overlapping events in a container. They will align end to end so all the dates will be completely messed up. If you have lots of events (e.g. a timeline for a history exam with several hundred dates, lots of periods and eras), the program can become really slow, it's better to make several smaller files in that case. I wish it was possible to add more images to an event and format the text in the text bubbles. But it's still very good. Thank you so much for this software.
  • Thanks for the program under a free open source license!
