This is a preview of what the segmentation app may look like
when I get around to implement it properly.

The program can open *.set files that are created by the program

  mia-2dseries2sets

from the MIA software package http://mia.sourceforge.net

and the segmentations are stored in a way that the MIA tools can
read them. Note, however, that only simple gray scale file formats are
supported, i.e. PNG or JPG (things that are directly supported on Android)
Specifically, no 16 bit gray scale images and no DICOM can be read.

Currently you will need to install an additional file manager
to open segmentation sets, for example the blackmoon file browser:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blackmoonit.android.FileBrowser&hl=en

the source code can be found in the "preview" repository. The "Code" repository
contains the start of a rewrite.

The data and documents in the Data.obsolete folder are now, well, obsolete, because
the corresonding publication is now on-line. Specifically, a static, citable snapshot
of the data has been made available from the GigaScience database

  http://dx.doi.org/10.5524/100106

and the accepted version of the paper describing the data and related experiments has
been published as

  G. Wollny and P. Kellman, "Free breathing myocardial perfusion data sets for performance
analysis of motion compensation algorithms", GigaScience, 2014, 3:23
  http://www.gigasciencejournal.com/content/3/1/23
