Hello swappers, I'm starting this thread to explore the different hardware options available. Origionally, during the writing of the scope, we had planned on targeting pc104 based system boards. I have worked some with eden fanless micro-atx systems and safemode has a working soekris/wrap machine to which can be evaluated. I'm thinking the best approach will be to list all available known...

Today, the swap project has inducted a new member into the project. His sf.net ID is safemode and he has experience with soekris and wrap based access points. He also will be contributing his project work from http://signal-lost.homeip.net/projects/ and documentation. Please welcome him and direct any questions to the project manager.

In light of FreeBSD's ability to boot live from a CD, I'm including the following url for anyone who wishes to partake in making SWAP compatible on a FreeBSD system. http://www.samag.com/documents/s=7121/sam0205a/sam0205a.htm
The above url describes basicly everything about wireless that has to do with FreeBSD as well as some good all around info like antennae placement and the like. Anyone...

Currently we've passed the 0.1 release which means the next release will be focused towards the wireless subsystem. We're going to begin compiling a list of drivers, so I do appreciate the information you have provided us about the prism chipset. I'll post the most current list of drivers we have here, so you can take a look through to see if there's anything you'll need to add, change, or...

Could this OS support cards with prism PrismGT chips? [http://prism54.org/] Don't the prism 2/2.5/3 only support 802.11b, thus a 802.11g SWAP would need to support a different driver.

Ok, I'm thinking the webmin interface will cover most of the basics of the device, we should look into making webmin aware of the services our device will be using, so as not to clutter the choices of a would-be user. We will need to provide ample instruction to the would be user, which will be simple. We just write a document on every aspect, do a faq, make a readme, a howto and also include an...

Ok, If we have say 10 runlevels. Each one can be rated by familiarity. A user would rate one's self under a familiarity rating. This would start out from the most basic of users at novice, up to the most advanced of users, at guru. Each...
