SpecTcl is a WYSIWYG GUI-Builder for Tcl/Tk, with sibblings for generating code in Perl, Java, Python & Ruby. It runs on all platforms where Tcl/Tk runs. It is simple and quick to use, yet still powerful when you know your Tcl/Tk.

Fantastic. Just made my Python projects a lot better. Note for Python3 users, you will have to modify the resulting files to import tkinter instead of Tkinter, at least until the program is updated.

I remember using SpecTcl many many years ago and I am quite pleased that it is still available. I’m using it to generate the base code for a fairly complex SCADA-like screen in Python running on a Raspberry Pi, model B. So far so good :-) Now I'm stuck! Once python has created the window, how do you update the objects, for example, changing the text in a label, or colour of a rectangle? HELP !!!

Brilliant time saver, enjoyed the ease of quick construction of GUI.

Great tool.I'm giving my Perl app a GUI and SpecTcl allows me to rapidly build the skeleton of the GUI and then tweak the Perl/Tk code generated.
