This is an amazing idea. Yes, yes I heard about it in AOUP, I've started playing with it, and I am deeply interested. I can use the language of my choosing to reprocess a PNG file in ways that may not be catered for with GUI tools or Magick - ie tweak with the actual format representation, then output PNG again. Nice.
