- 7-Zip now can unpack UEFI BIOS files.
- 64-bit version of 7-Zip now includes additional 32-bit shell extension DLL.
So other 32-bit programs can call 64-bit 7-Zip via context menu.
- Now it's possible to associate 7-Zip with file types without Administrator rights.
- New -mf=FilterID switch to specify compression filter. Examples:
7z a -mf=bcj2 a.7z a.tar
7z a -mf=delta:4 a.7z a.wav
7z a -mf=bcj a.tar.xz a.tar
- There are some changes in LZMA settings for BCJ2 filter.
So compression ratio now is slightly improved for executable files in -mx9 mode for .7z format.
- Some bugs were fixed.
- New localizations: Corsican, Kyrgyz.
Notes:
The code that parses -m switch has been rewritten. So if you see any bug with -m switch, please write here.

Thanks for the v9.20.05 alpha, Igor. It installs and runs on Windows 2000 platforms, and multiple nested passwords now maintain their integrity when the test archive's innermost file is modified and saved throughout! Nice work! I look forward to the upcoming "official" version! :-)

9.21 will be beta.
We need more time and more users to test new features.
The number of users of alpha versions is very small.

confirmed on Win 7 Starter (just for the record: 32-bit; afaik there is no 64-bit Starter), nothing special is path's names, zip (deflate) and 7z work fine.
Best regards!

And the old form of the command line in this version will work?
gora2:
Yes, old command also works.
New version uses lp2lc0 for -m2 and -m3 streams for better compression ratio.
Ehh… Folks, help :-) What is the new "power" config for a GUI-Version? My config is
