- There are some minor internal changes
"Open Archive > *" opens only one top level. For example, if you have EXE installer, it opens only PE (EXE) level.

Note, that ZIP archives with NTFS timestamps are larger than usual ZIP archives.
If you don't need NTFS timestamps in ZIP archives, then type "tc-" in Parameters or use "-mtc-" switch in console version.

Data error File is broken

I agree. 4.65 works fine for me, but no doubt there have been bug fixes since then that I probably should have. I don't like using beta software for something "mission critical" like compression, so it would be nice at least to have a "best guess" at when there might be another stable release.

I am curious as well, since I'm running Windows 7 x64 - which wasn't yet released the last time a "stable" version (4.65 - Feb. 2009) of 7-Zip was released.
I'm also wondering if, at this point, 9.13 beta would be considered more "stable" than 4.65 since there have been many noted fixes and optimizations since then.
Igor, can you comment? Do you expect a version 10 "stable" release in the near future? For x64 on Windows 7, (AMD CPUs, if it matters), which version would you recommend at this point?

I have several bugs/features to report, that annoy me from 4.x versions associated with UI:
1) Please, be kind, add a feature, that if I copy files using Ctrl + C from 7Zip UI, Ctrl + V anywhere would produce selected files extraction from opened archive file.
2) When I open password protected archive and try to extract files from it, I get a promt window to enter password. After enterring password with password app like KeyPass then I cannot press OK button with mouse, only using keyboard's TAB key traversing to OK button and hitting Enter key.
Best regards, except these annoyances your 7Zip app will be awesome for me :). High five for open source :)!

Hi, Igor
Where it is possible to download LZMA.EXE v9.13?
I will not update LZMA SDK to 9.13.
Use LZMA SDK 9.12.
Any progress on multivolume zip support?
Why is it not marked as a beta correctly? Why after 8 beta's have we not got a stable release?
Why so big jump between versions? Last stable is 4.65, and this is 9 !
Version 9 refers to 2009. And, yes, Igor knows that it's already 2010. ;-)
если открыть файлы sony_moviestudiope90b.exe или vegaspro90c_32bit.exe то показывает что там только один файл ac3studioplug.dll
wwwmt :
There is some big file (of unknown type) that contains .cab file. 7-Zip opens that cab archive.
You can open PE level with "Open > *".

Непонятно зачем окно с прогресс-индикатором в пол экрана сделали ?

Igor, please will you give us some new STABLE VERSION of 7-Zip? PLEASE.. 4.65 is so buggy..
Thank you very much, Martin
Hi, Igor.
It is impossible to unpack installer VMware workstation 7
There are ideas?
gora2:
I have no that file.
What format do they use?
Show in FAR / HEX view.
They use some container format.
- Header:
File Size (64-bit)
File Name Lengh
File Name (UTF-16)
File Attributes
- Data
Try to split that file to 2 files:
1 - 60 bytes (header)
2 - rest. (a.msi file)
Just write in 7-Zip's "split to volumes, bytes" field::
60 1000M
Hi,
The Self-extracting capability for 7z format would be perfect if I could specify a default destination!
Thank you very much for your program!
