Every since I switched to Win 7, the "compress and email" function does not work (from right click menu). I get a message that says "There is no email program associaed to perform the requested action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."
I have done this and can use the "send to" function (right click) to send a file, but can't get 7-zip to compress and send.
Any ideas?

Same/related problem.
The "compress and email" function does not work (from right click menu).
I get no message.
Running XP and allow MS to update it automatically.
Until a couple of weeks back the function worked fine then suddenly stopped.
I deleted 7zip completely, downloaded and re-installed.
Mail client is Thunderbird (which was also updated a few days back)
Still have the same problem after a restart.
Can anyone advise?
thanks

Hello,
I have too this problem.
Have you solved it?
Thanks
I just switched to WinZIP.. it works correctly.
I couldn't even get a comment on my question here.. much less a solution that worked.
I needed a solution that worked so I switched.
