The Saxon XSLT and XQuery processor, developed by Michael Kay
I've just finished writing several, pretty advanced, XSLT 2 stylesheets (a few thousand lines long). I've also written a few extension functions in Java. I use Saxon 9 to run these stylesheets. I've found Saxon 9 to be fully conformant with the specs, rock solid and also a decent performer having a very reasonable memory footprint. All in all, I'm delighted and I highly recommend using Saxon 9.
Used Saxon (Java) for years, very stable and regularly updated. Speed and standards conformance are excellent. Home Edition is fine, but commercial versions provide more extensibility and integration options.
It's an excellent XSLT and XQuery engine that is always fully conformant with the W3C Specs and has a high performance with big files
