  • Comment: make [object] in comments "help-able"

    That's a great idea, but it still wouldn't have the functionality I'm describing. In your uber-comment, you'd have to link directly to an object's help-file. This is not good because the author of an external can specify one of several locations for the help-patch (e.g., *-help.pd, or the object itself if it's an abstraction). Additionally, if the author makes changes (or if pd's help patch...

  • Comment: 'select' -> help -> crash (Windows 7)

    This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. It was previously set to a Pending status, and the original submitter did not respond within 14 days (the time period specified by the administrator of this Tracker).

  • Comment: make [object] in comments "help-able"

    yeah, a full-on comment object would be really nice to have, with font support, multi-language localization, and links... the cyclone comment object does the font stuff, and the pddplink object does the link stuff, someone just needs to combine them into an über-comment.

  • make [object] in comments "help-able"

    Probably not the best way to phrase it, but say you have the following comment: "To convert a symbol to a list, check out the [s2l] object." When you right-click on the text "[s2l]", it would be helpful if the menu had an additional option to get help for the [s2l] object. This would solve the problem of how to safely refer to externals in the "Related Objects" section of help docs, while...

  • Comment: find error misses objects on win32

    Could you try a nightly build and report back whether the problem still exists? http://autobuild.puredata.info/auto-build/latest/.

  • Comment: Cannot select with (shift)+(arrows) in msg box

    I consider it a bug too. Basically, this means using a 'text' widget for box entry, or writing lots of custom bindings. It would be worth doing tho.

  • Comment: pd-devel tcl missing variables

    The help browser works now, tho that error is still there. Its cosmetic for now. The "About Pd" page now works. The toxy/tot issue is still present, so I am leaving this report open.

  • Comment: Pd extended with Snow Leopard

    Please provide as detailed information as possible including which operating system (OS), CPU type, specific hardware, and the exact distro and version of Pd itself, etc. For example: Pd version 0.41.4-extended Mac OS X 10.5.7/Intel built-in sound.

  • Pd extended with Snow Leopard

    Pd extended is not working properly for me on Snow Leopard. It is very buggy. After toggling the compute audio on then off, the program freezes and doesn't allow me to open or close any files or even close the program. This causes me to force quit the program every time.
