In 2.8.beta, extract to new folder is now an option of the "Extract" action, and is remembered.
Extract to default path is now available in the output popup menu. Clicking it allows to set the default extraction path that will be used in place of archive's path; clicking it again will remove the flag and reset the application to use archive's path as default.

The feature is now available in version 2.8.beta.
Archives can be converted in the desired format (with "Add each object to a separate archive", default), or multiple archives can be extracted and the uncompressed data is consolidated in a single archive of the desired format (without that option).

The feature was implemented in 2.8.beta, extracting multiple archives at once (from program's GUI) now launches by default extraction and archiving jobs one by one, while the program's GUI shows what listed item is being currently processed.
Parallel execution is still available as option.
