OpenPPM Files

Dear OpenPPM Users,

After many months of development, we are now releasing OpenPPM Cell v4.6.1.


WHAT´S NEW:


We called it Cell and this the version 4.6.1. 


From a Functional point of view, we added new features in all the areas of the Software such as:

- Resource Timesheet report in Assignments Tab so TM can see what they have been up to
- In Admin module, Define color in Resource Capacity based upon % worload
- Automatic KPIs from EVM indicators
- New Notification features in Admin Module
- Supporting US Formats (Number and Date) in Admin Module
- Automatic Calculation of Planned Value in Plan Tab
- Export Graph (WBS, Schedule Chart, etc..) in PNG Format
- New "Select All" boton in Time Approval
- Add document in Log Book
- New Check in Admin Module for PM so they have "Read only" access to initiation Tab
- Create New Admin from the Admin Module
- ...


UPDATE FROM Bulma 4.2.9 to Cell 4.6.1 (ONLY FOR NON VIRTUAL MACHINE DEPLOYMENT)


For Bulma User that have deployed OpenPPM in a server, you will be able to update our software.

Here are quick instructions to do so:


1.	Stop the application server Tomcat
2.	Do a Back up of the database
3.	Execute the scripts attached with the new version
4.	Delete Tomcat temporary files in the following way:
		- “Tomcat 7.x\webapps\” --> Delete “openppm” folder.
		- “Tomcat 7.x\logs\” --> Delete the “logs” folder content (NOT the folder)
		- “Tomcat 7.x\work\Catalina\localhost\” --> Delete “openppm” folder
		- “Tomcat 7.x\logs\” --> Delete the “logs” folder content (NOT the folder)
5.	Copy the NEW “openppm.war” file in the “Tomcat 7.x\webapps\” folder
6.	Start the Tomcat application server: go to the Tomcat folder bin/ and execute startup file (.shsiestá en linux o .bat en windows)
7.	Go to the Browser and check it works (it takes a little time to start)



NEW INSTALLATION


For New OpenPPM users you will need to do a complete installation

Depending on your need and skills, We offer you two options to install your OpenPPM software:

-	Easy Installation (recommended for non-technical users): you deploy a virtual machine with all the components included. (Application Server, Data Base and OpenPPM)

If you choose this option, than you need to download our virtual machine form the following link: 

http://www.mediafire.com/file/dycs5msoxvp2sp2/OpenPPM_Community.ova

and follow the instructions from the Installation Guide (English or Spanish)

-	Customized Installation (recommended for advanced users only): you deploy all the elements separately allowing you to choose: 
o	Virtual Machine 
o	Data Base (Maria DB, MySQL or Oracle)
o	Tomcat Version (v.7 or higher)

If you choose this option, than you need the files included in the Bulma 4.2.9. Folder and follow the instruction from the Installation Guide (English or Spanish)
