Newscoop: The open content management system for professional journalists. Designed by newsroom experts, Newscoop is a content management system (CMS) that powers professional newspapers and magazines worldwide. The demands of modern journalism are met with intuitive interfaces, flexible publishing, multilinguality, geolocation tools, social media integration and powerful themes and templates compatible with anything from HTML5 to mobile. Newscoop’s themes are collections of files that shape how your site looks and functions. They contain everything you need to design a website (templates, html, css, database and content structure). They can be downloaded here, and installed through the Newscoop interface. With Newscoop 4's theme manager, themes can assigned to one or more publications, and switched, cloned or adapted at any time. Responsive Design comes as standard with most. This means the entire site changes in size and format to suit any browser or device, automatically without the need for expensive mobile and tablet redesigns. Themes are written in $gimme, Sourcefabric’s news-centric templating language that extends the popular PHP Smarty framework. Themes are versioned and they contain a Newscoop version number to specify compatibility. http://newscoop.sourcefabric.org Newscoop on GitHub: https://github.com/sourcefabric/Newscoop Documentation: http://manuals.sourcefabric.org Support Forum: http://forum.sourcefabric.org Bug Tracker: http://dev.sourcefabric.org Code Review: http://code.sourcefabric.org Developer's Wiki: http://wiki.sourcefabric.org
