  • Was probably great back in the day. Outdated now. Doesn't work with Win11.
  • It works brilliantly. Intuitive to use, and quite fast - Edits complete folders with 100s of files within reasonable time. Old school interface - Maybe not as "inviting for the new generation", but it compensates in both simplicity and functionally (works perfect for the task).
  • Excellent tool that's easy to use . Just select the directory and let it do the statistical analysis to essentially normalize all the sound files you've chosen. Overall, it saves a lot of my time adjusting the volume for each sound file.
  • I am using the MP3Gain-win-1.3.4 for Windows 10: Took me awhile to understand the program. I kept trying to drag file into the program, without success. Then I realize the program was actually modifying the MP3 files in the folders on my drive. Once I realized that feature it was easy, until I tried to use the music on my receiver. It would play and after a few titles stop. I think the clipping was causing a problem with the playback on the receiver. I ran the program again, but with out clipping. Now it plays back perfectly. Thanks : )
  • 5 Hours downloading every version of Mp3Gain they offer I don't know why they take me here this download offered here is just a fascade of any real program downloads offered elsewhere But in any event the program Appears on my screen but is not actually installing and proves to be inoperative 5 hours of downloading every version Unfortunately I can't enjoy the benefits one might wish to enjoy There is no actual person who could screen share and offer support I guess free is what free is
  • I´ve just opened an account with you, to be able to warn your site about malware i´ve found into the file program MP3Gain from your web. Analyzed with AV Virus Total, downloaded file "mp3gain-win-1_2_5" from the SourgeForge site there are 2 malware-malicious engines found. Please use Virus Total website, test the file & you´ll get the keys related. I´m really glad to be a sand-grain helping hand in this case...truly yours....bluegrasser PS.- i wasn´t able to test the program, being infected...sorry
  • Thank you very much for the program distributed under a free open license!
  • This tool is just amazing, it's one of the first tools I download whenever I re-install windows. Every time I create a new memory stick of mp3's, I use this to normalise all the volumes because I used to get fed up of one song being really quiet then an extremely loud song would follow it.
  • Thanks!
  • Very easy & useful. Thanks!
  • This is extremely useful project. It adjusts mp3 volume as heard psychologically by humans... lossless! It is widely known that mp3 files of different songs may have very different volumes, and it is very uncomfortable to play and hear them in a single set. The program solves that problem very well.

  • Excellent tool, easy to use - just select dir and do the stuff. It would be very good to also have just one button to do both analysis and track gain operations, as some slow users may be confused. But overall, Thanks, saved a lot of my time on adjusting volume !!!!

  • Great performance!
  • awesome work, thank you guys!
  • I used MP3Gain for about half year and had no problem but... Now i can't change volume of one mp3 :/
  • so good
  • Would be a 5 if it didn't insist on installing Roxio Easy Media Creator every time I started it and force me to cancel about 6 attempts. Bulls***, that.
  • If you're looking for aacgain for Fedora, I found that the F14 src rpm found by googling aacgain-1.8-1.fc14.src.rpm can be built (rpmbuild) and installed without issues on F20. It appears to work without problems.
  • Our church has a Sangean DAR-101 digital mp3 recorder for recording services. The mp3's were not loud enough, even with the line-in volume turned up all the way. MP3Gain did exactly what we needed it to do. With no loss in quality, the volume of the mp3's increased. Simply load the files, hit the analyze button, run the gain correction, and then transfer the files to an mp3 player. You can also customize the amount of increase in gain. Perfect!
