What's happening?

  • Dragging several files fail

KFTPGrabber lets you drag single files from the local to the remote directory, and it lets you mark several files for upload. However, it doesn't respond if you try to drag several files from the local to the remote directory. The workaround is to right-click and select Transfer from the context menu. This works correctly. Dave.

  • Release beta2?

I built kftpgrabber from CVS a month ago and have used it regularly since. I continue to be very happy with it. It's been rock stable -- any reason not to release the second beta? Dave.

  • Package request submitted to Debian

I just submitted a packaging request to Debian, see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=348142 Not that this necessarily means much, as some volunteer has to pick it up. I argued there's a strong case for adopting it. Dave.

  • Closing sessions unnecessarily restrictive

Kftpgrabber requires that at least one session is open on each side. This is unnecessarily restrictive. As it is, you can't close the old session until you start a new one, leaving clutter, and you can't close a session...

  • Remote directory refresh

When my remote directories wouldn't refresh after uploads, I first thought files weren't tranferring. However, the log window (nice feature!) showed it had. Solution: uncheck directory listing cache in the configuration. For my uses, this is a poor and confusing default setting. Nice to see everything working, however! Cheers, Dave.

  • Links to the forum

There are no links to this forum or any other forum or mailing list on the home page at http://kftpgrabber.sourceforge.net -- that might explain why traffic is so low. I just built a package for Debian sid on amd64 from svn today, and it runs fine. It does crash in a few situations it can't handle, but these are avoidable and it's plenty stable to be useful. The application is...

  • High CPU load when uploading to secure site

Hi! I am observing high CPU load when uploading to secure site (TLS). The cpu usage does not fall below 90% at the transfer speeds less than 100 k/sec.
