A feature-full Cocoa FTP client for OS X. Support for advanced queuing, bookmarks, quick connect, and drag and drop.
There is no documentation. And with only one file list (window), it's not clear exactly where (if anyplace) you're transferring files to/from.
A minor update, version 0.1.2, has been released for OneButton FTP. Its only change is to provide compatibility with OS X 10.5 Leopard.
NEW IN 0.1.2: - Recompiled to work with OS X 10.5 Leopard. NEW IN 0.1.1: - Added 'Edit' feature. Select this from the Listing menu to download a file to a temporary location and open it in the editor you specify in OneButton FTP preferences. Every time you save the file, it will automatically be uploaded back to where you downloaded it from (as long as you keep the application open). If you are disconnected when you save, you will be reconnected. - Fixed a bug that caused the program to crash when contributing anonymous statistics in Panther. If you disabled the feature because of this issue, please consider re-enabling it. We need to hear from Panther users to know they are out there! - Added an SSL mode selection menu in new connection and edit bookmark windows. Use this to specify not to use SSL at all, to use explicit SSL (which is the most common), or to use implicit SSL (which is fairly rare). - Fixed string encoding issue with French and Italian localizations that caused some characters to not be displayed. - Removed the 'anonymous' checkbox in new connection and edit connection windows. Whether or not a login is anonymous is now determined by whether or not a username is specified. - Added a German localization. - Fixed escape key not working as a shortcut for 'cancel' in the delete files confirmation sheet in the Italian localization. NEW IN 0.1: - New connection manager look. - You can now view the status of a connection's queue and its queue items in the connection manager. - By default, a connection stays open after its window is closed. Use the connection manager toolbar to disconnect. You can change this behavior in the preferences. - Added preference to start queue immediately on drag or double-click of a file. - OneButton FTP is now a universal binary. However, it has not yet been tested on an x86 Mac. If you can help out with this, please contact Aaron Jacobs. - Added a feature to check for updates on program start if it has been more than a week since the last check. - Added a feature to provide anonymous usage data to help improve OneButton FTP. See www.onebutton.org/privacy.php for more information. - Added a preference to use ASCII mode to transfer certain types of files. - French localization - Italian localization - Swedish localization - Japanese localization - If there are queue items for a connection when it is disconnected, they stay around until the program is closed. - Removed inaccurate status display. - The current path is now shown in the title of connection windows. - Clicking the edit button in the connection manager when the edit window is already open now brings it forward. It does not change which bookmark is being edited - you must close the window first for that. - Fixed bug in Tiger with queue items being added more than once when dragging to Finder. - Fixed bug with looping delete when trying to delete a file with insufficient permissions. - Better default column sizes in connection window. - Moved connection window buttons back to the toolbar.
