Description
JTidy is a Java port of HTML Tidy, a HTML syntax checker and pretty printer. Like its non-Java cousin, JTidy can be used as a tool for cleaning up malformed and faulty HTML. In addition, JTidy provides a DOM parser for real-world HTML.

This library is invaluable to me in dealing with the horrors of HTML from SEC filings. Today I ran into a problem with the version I was using, due to some crazy thing someone had done in a new filing. I updated to the latest version from SVN and the problem magically went away!

I found it easy to get started with. I had been away from Java and DOM for a couple years, and wanted to get back to it. In the past, getting a new Document object was always a bit confusing. I had to create a factory to create a factory, etc. It also helped a lot when I had hundreds of "broken" HTML documents to work with. I was able to spin up code to both fix and extend the documents quickly and effectively.
