Jniz sample file under Windows: Your-Jniz-install-path\resources\samples\ave-maria-saint-saens.jnz
Jniz sample file under Linux/OS X: Your-Jniz-install-path/resources/samples/ave-maria-saint-saens.jnz

WINDOWS OS 64 bits: setup64-jniz-3-x-x.exe

Windows 7, 8, 10 users: run the setup AND Jniz as Administrator (right click on the icons).
If no sound under W10, try Gervill sequencer (or Microsoft MIDI Mapper) in the sequencer menu.

Linux: jniz.tar.gz (uncompress & run jniz.sh in a terminal) => install OpenJDK or JDK (version 11 at least).

OS X: Jniz.app.zip (uncompress and copy it in your /Applications folder) => install OpenJDK or JDK (version 11 at least). Uninstallation: remove Jniz.app in your /Applications folder.

PDF / Lilypond export: install both Python (version 2.x required) and Lilypond and check that the lilypond & python commands work correctly in a terminal (Linux, OS X, Windows). The python -V command must imperatively return 2.x. Adapt the environment variables / classpath if necessary (under Windows: add "C:\Program Files (x86)\LilyPond\usr\bin\" in the PATH environment variable).
Warning: LilyPond (32 bits) does not work under OS X Catalina (only 64 bits).

Midi input with keyboard or sound (micro etc.) explained in the Jniz doc: http://www.jniz.org/doc/howto.pdf
