I doubt Anki will be improve faster than jMemorize! :) Anki uses Python and Qt. While Qt is great, it is not as easy to do as Java. We can use Java on many platforms without changing any codes at all. On mobiles, J2ME is common by now.

sorry for the late reply. I was in vacation and still haven't been able to catch up to all the messages. Regarding code additions it would be best if you would check out the code from the online svn repository. This way you can be sure that you're working with the latest version.
I have no plans to extend pdf printing for now, so if you want to do some work here, there...
