HangTime and other features are hard coded into the C program right now. Its on my todo list to have this be a compile time option, and possibly a config file for the future.

ok, so after a make uninstall and a make install, my node does say the irlp-repeater is running. from: repeater_init status.
also, i now have a repeater.log
it shows "entries" when i "key up" the node radio. so that's good.
i DON'T know where the environment file is that allows me to change the variables of the system. hang time etc etc.

some clarification:
i "ran" repeater_init start
it says:
Waiting for /home/irlp-repeater/bin/repeater to start
and just ticks away periods forever.

ok, so i copied the tarball to tmp.
[as user root]
tar zxf irlp-repeater.etcetc
changed directory
make
make install
changed directory to /home/irlp-repeater/script
repeater start
"waiting for controller to start"
then just the period counter.
........................................
etc, for many many minutes.
