I too have this same problem, running the package (after installing from .deb) on the debian build that comes on the EMC2 install. In an attempt to fix the but I tried to review/build the source on my fedora machine, but there is a compilation error to do with glade auto generated files.

My DXF file is a fairly simple closed outline of a bracket with both inside and outside arcs (i.e. lazy "S" form). It doesn't matter whether I specify "INSIDE", "OUTSIDE", or "CENTER" when defining the "Cut Position" within the layer's PROPERTIES screen - I ALWAYS get "CENTER".
I even went so far as specifying the inner radii on a...

I have a shape with several arcs. It's a rather small DXF file and is specified in inches. When I produce G-Code with gCNCCAM and then open within EMC2, I get the following message:
"Near line 49 of ..... Radius to end of arc differs from radius to start. start=(X0.5090,Y0.8780) center=(X1.0210,Y0.0000) end=(X0.0040,Y0.0000) r1=1.0164 r2=1.0170"
I know what the message is...

As the Z-feed rate is set (in gcode) after the layer feed rate, Z-feed rate overrides the layer feed rate.

When EMC has finnished a layer and starts on the next, the spindle is stopped. This just cost me a 2mm flatend :-)

gcnccam is segfaulting when a property is changed.
I have a dxf-file with three layers. In one layer I have exploded text. When I change color on this property and then click OK, gcnccam segfaults.
