The program saves in a file format that it cannot open (SVG). To do so requires something like 8 other tools to be installed, the latest versions of these tools do not work with PyCam so you must reconstruct the correct tool chain bit by bit. There is basically no supporting documentation for what the expected versions are, nor exactly what other support programs are required. It is left to the end user to painfully unravel the errors and track down rare DLLs. The program might be nice if it were maintained with enough documentation to install it but as it presently stands this is not the case and it is unusable as a fresh installation.

Great CAM Software. I use it together with freeCAD and emc2 linuxcnc. For mee this combination is the perfect open source CAD/CAM/CNC-Stack and PyCAM being a essential part of it.
