Thanks for your quick work! This solves the problem and I have updated the bug report on launchpad.

I had to make minor changes to headers and source files in fwImage to fix the problem. Its only a configuration change (had to move some functions from .cpp files to header files). The problem is fixed now. I have tested it on Ubuntu Lucid alpha, I assume the applied patch should have fixed the error on Karmic aswell. Let us know if the problem persists.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, to see the problem, you need Ubuntu (Karmic or Lucid alpha). Once you have that installed: * download [fwitest.c](http://launchpadlibrarian.net/36740612/fwitest.c) (or use any .c file) * sudo apt-get install libfwbase1-dev # install framewave * gcc -o fwitest.o -c fwitest.c * gcc fwitest.o -o fwitest -lfwBase -lfwImage At this last step, you will...

I was not able to reproduce the problem. Can you please provide more details on the version of the operating system and the compiler used. Did you pick the binaries directly or built them from the source ? if so then i need details on the versions of the scons and python used. ~kalyan.

  • Ubuntu Lucid package broken

Hi, I have reported a bug on Ubuntu's bug tracker ([#496122]( http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/framewave/+bug/496122 )) for which I would be grateful for any assistance in fixing. The same build procedure works fine on Debian, so I think the error may be the result of some toolchain difference between the two. In a nutshell, the problem is that I get linking errors such as "undefined...
