We have released the new version of 'flashwebcamviewer', a Shockwave Flash-based webcam viewer for webpages. This is an easy to use alternative and replacement for applets like the outdated JavaCam, AnfyCam, NetworkCam16. The webcam data is defined in an XML file. The only requirement is to have the Flash Player installed in your browser. We appreciate you pass the news to your favorite webcam operator with outdated and non-refreshing webcam viewers.

The Flash WebCam Viewer version 2.06 has been released. It is the one currently used in heavy traffic webcam pages such as the Panama Canal WebCams. http://www.pancanal.com/esp/photo/camara.html This version takes the webcam data from the querystring where de SWF file is called. But already, we are looking to improve the viewer with a version which will read the variables from a user-defined XML. Please monitor our project in the coming days for the new release.
