festival-te is a Telugu text-to-speech system based on Festival TTS synthesizer.
This minor release ensures that channel
encoding is set correctly when using festival with gnome-speech library.
This is achieved by setting the coding parameter in voice
description to UTF-8. It is to be used with gnome-speech > 0.4.0.

Yeah sure. The intonation and phrasing modules need to be improved. Work needs to be done on part of speech taggging also. You can have a look at the TODO. Since you have some idea about festival, you could have a look at the code and come up with more issues that need to be addressed.

festival-te is a Telugu text-to-speech system based on Festival TTS synthesizer.
This minor release fixes a bug which was causing the package to work only on Debian and updates the install script.
