An implementation of the Ext2 (Linux) filesystem for Mac OS X.
works great for me Mac OS X.6.1
Doesn't install on snow leapord
don't work with snow leopard
Wont work, dont install on snow leop.
Doesn't seem to work under Snow Leopard, so hopefully that will be fixed soon. Still very useful on the Macs that I haven't upgraded to Snow Leopard though.
not work snow leopard
Thanks for ruining my data. My drive is completely hosed. I really don't understand why ext2 or 3 isn't supported by os x to begin with. This is a really dumb situation.
As others have said, it doesn't install on Snow Leopard.
Dosnt work with Snow Leopard
Installer stop's in 10.6.1... hope it gets fixed soon... tnx guys.
Several months since Snow Leopard launched, but still not compatible with it. Project Inactive?
It does not complete the install on my MacBook running OS X 10.6.1 (Snow Leopard)
Install not completed on Snow Leopard 10.6.2
I don't have Snow Leopard (yet), so I can't comment on compatibility, but this definitely helped me out--now moving between my linux box and my mac is no problem at all
This doesn't complete the install on my Mac Pro running 10.6.1. I agree this is a really dumb situation.
I guess we should not be so harsh, because no one else is doing it, but the fact that they are not keeping up with Macs OS is a problem.
Does not work on 10.6
OLD SHIT
Crashes whenever I * Edit Linux files. * Look at Linux files. * Even think about ext2. Most unstable program I've ever used. Every time this program crashes, it takes down Mac OS X with it. I have to restart once to check my HFS partition, again to rescue my EXT2 partition, once more to fix my NTFS partition, and a fourth time to get back to where I was in Mac OS X. Would not recommend if you value your time and your files.
Install failed for Snow Leopard
Worked ok for some time (except a lot of errors on boot and shutdown), but yesterday it corrupted 13% of all data on an ext3 filesystem, resulting in a Linux e2fsck needing to delete ALL data in /usr etc. External USB ext3 harddrive takes 10 minutes to detect before Mac OS claims that it fails and I can later view the contents. Maybe there is an option for ro mounting, which obviously is needed when this software can badly corrupt the inode mapping!! In principle this project is a good idea, but I cannot recommend it to anyone who doesn't like to spend hours restoring a corrupted partition from backup. Use a flash drive to transfer the data between Mac and ext2.
This is junk. Attempting to access a mounted ext2 filesystem consistently crashes OS X and trashes the ext2 filesystem.
