e2undel is an interactive console tool that recovers the data of deleted files on an ext2 file system under Linux. It does not require any additional tools and should be useable without knowledge about ext2 interna.

This release adds large file support (LFS) in order to access file system images that are larger than 2 GByte. I hope that this does not break anything else. If you are using an earlier version of e2undel, please evaluate version 0.82 (either on file system images or on "real" file systems), and send me a short note "works" or "differs from e2undel 0.81" (send mail to e2undel AT users DOT. sourceforge DOT. net). If you start playing with e2undel, please use version 0.82 and send me a short (un)success note, too. Thank you for your help. If you came here in the desparate hope to find some help to recover important data, and you do not want to work on an image of your file system (or don't know what I mean with the word "image"), it might be safer to use e2undel 0.81 to undelete your important files. After having revovered the data, please be so nice and try to a second run with version 0.82 -- everything should work exactly as with e2undel 0.81 -- and send me a short note.
added #define _LARGEFILE64_SOURCE and #define _FILE_OFFSET_BITS 64 to work on file system images > 2 GByte
