Liked the original DooM? Play Legacy! The best DooM port there is. We, a small number of old DooM vets of the old days, grew up with playing DooM over all these years. And it's still our most favorite game when we meet for a LAN party. Other games always cause trouble, DooM is the only game running smoothly. It just works. Always. Thank you, DooM Legacy team! You're keeping the spirit alive!

I feel my second youth playing Doom Legacy. Thank you for making it old school cross-platform game based on POSIX and SDL.

Very fast, fun and faithful to the original. Didn't get bloated over time and the codebase is still written in plain C, which makes it also fun to hack.

Version 1.46.2 has fixed most outstanding issues and should be used for any network play. There have been hundreds of patches over that last few years. Previous versions (like 1.42, 1.44), and the previous comments, are getting far out of date. The green download button has finally been fixed (by moving the old versions). For more information and special wads see the Doomlegacy Home page.
